What we train
Work zones, first responders, and fleets.
Three ways to engage us tells you how we work together. This page tells you what we already know how to train. Every program here runs on our platform, and the driving safety programs are delivered through On Q Safety.

Work zone safety training
A course an entire state can complete.
We built and we operate the Work Zone and First Responder Course for the Washington State Department of Licensing. It is public facing, so the people taking it are residents rather than employees, and they finish it without calling an agency for help.
What the course covers
- The stages of a work zone and what a driver sees at each one
- Focus, awareness, and responsibility approaching a work zone
- Emergency vehicles and first responders on the roadway
- What the law requires, and the quiz that records it
Fourteen languages, learner selected. Completions report back to the state’s driver records system as they happen. Hosted in AWS GovCloud.
Example: Washington State Department of Licensing
Built once, delivered statewide, recorded automatically.
First responder safety training
Emergency vehicle operations, on a duty schedule.
Police, fire, and ambulance drivers train on the parts of the job that hurt people when they go wrong. Recurrency training schedules around rotations rather than against them, because a course nobody can reach on shift does not get taken.
Our emergency vehicle operations curriculum
- Approaching and assessing an intersection
- Clearing an intersection, from basics through advanced skills
- Intersection departure
- Attention and distraction behind the wheel
Delivered through On Q Safety, in standard and metric versions, so the same curriculum serves agencies that measure differently.
On the platform
Six lessons, one certificate, tracked to the learner.
An administrator assigns the course to a group, and completion status is visible per learner without anyone exporting anything.
Fleet driver safety training
Training aimed at how your drivers actually drive.
Defensive driving for commercial, municipal, and government fleets. We combine our platform with partner telematics so the coaching a driver receives reflects their own driving data rather than a generic annual refresher.
How it runs
- Assignment and tracking across driver groups and locations
- Gamification that keeps drivers coming back to the app
- Completion reporting tied to your risk and insurance requirements
- License allocation down one hierarchy: parent, location, manager, learner
Example: Safety National
An insurer pays for this training because it reduces their losses.
Fifteen years as a client, and we train more than thirty of the organizations they insure today.
Scale
300,000 driver trainings delivered a year for more than 100 organizations, through On Q Safety.
